What AppFixly is
AppFixly is a small, plainly written site about apps and software. Most of what you will find here falls into three groups: step-by-step guides for getting something done, fixes for the errors people actually run into, and honest write-ups of apps worth installing.
There is no shortage of writing about software on the internet. Most of it is either a press release with the word “review” on top, or a page that takes nine hundred words to say something that needed forty. The aim here is simpler: work out how the thing actually behaves, write down what happened, and stop.
How the guides are written
Every fix published here has been run on a real device before it goes up. If a step did not work, it is not in the guide. If a fix works on one version of Android or Windows and not another, the guide says so rather than leaving the reader to find out.
When something cannot be solved, that gets said too. A page that admits “this one cannot be fixed without a reinstall” is more useful than five pages of guesses, and considerably less annoying.
Guides are updated when they stop being true. Apps change, menus move, and a screenshot from two versions ago helps nobody. Where a page has been revised, the date at the top reflects the revision and not the day it was first written.
Who writes it
AppFixly is written and maintained by Sabbir Ahmed, working from Bangladesh. It is an independent site, not part of any company whose software is covered here.
How the site pays for itself
AppFixly carries advertising. That is the whole of it: there are no sponsored posts, no paid placements inside guides, and no arrangement under which an app is covered favourably in exchange for anything.
Advertising is served by third-party networks, which means the ads shown are chosen by those networks rather than selected here. If an ad on this site is broken, misleading or unpleasant, writing in is genuinely useful — the network can be told, and persistently bad ad partners can be dropped.
Being paid by advertising rather than by the companies being written about is the point. It is the arrangement that makes it possible to say an app is not worth installing.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, please say so. A guide that sends somebody down the wrong path wastes their afternoon, and that matters more than being right in public. Corrections are made quickly and the page notes that it was corrected.

What is not here
AppFixly does not host, link to, or explain how to obtain cracked software, pirated apps, modified APKs or paid apps for free. There is a large audience for that sort of page and it is not the audience this site is written for.
Nothing here is professional advice. Guides describe what worked on the devices they were tested on. Back up anything you care about before following instructions that change system settings — on this site or on any other.
